Under the leadership of Mrs. Veda Rai, an enthusiastic team are organizing a cultural activity to give an exposure to diversified tradition and help the community people to learn from each other. It provides a platform for our community people to go beyond their level and explore their creative and artistic sensibilities. Various programs and competitions such as dance, music, theatre arts and many other events are organized.

1. Bunts Sangha To Present Pratibha Puraskar, Felicitate Achievers -16th July 2022

On 16th July 2022, former Minister B. Ramanath Rai has felicitated the achievers from the community at a function organised by Bunts Charitable Trust and Bunts Sangha Mysuru at Asha Prakash Bunts Convention Hall in Vijayanagar III Stage. Students from the Bunts community who have scored the highest marks in SSLC and PUC were felicitated. 

Bunts Sangha President T. Prabhakar Shetty presided over the event. MLA G.T. Devegowda, former MLA Vasu, Bunts Charitable Trust Managing Trustee Ganesh Narayan Hegde, Deputy Managing Trustees Suresh Alva, Tukaram Rai, Bunts Sangha Vice-President Sarvotham Shetty, General Secretary Nanjappa Shetty, Bhagavat Patla Satish Shetty and others took part.

After the event, there were Yakshagana performances ‘Sreenivasa Kalyana’ ‘Abhimanyu’ and ‘Chakravyuha’. Hundreds of people watched the performances with great delight.

3. ‘Aatidonji Dina’ Celebration by Ladies Wing of Bunts Sangha Mysore on August 2023

The Mysuru Bunt Sangha Ladies Wing organised a programme to celebrate Aatidonji Dina at a private hotel in the city under the leadership of Mrs. Veda Rai, Chairman, Cultural Committee, Bunts Sangha Mysore. The event was held to create awareness about the culture and traditions of the coastal region of Karnataka known as Tulu Nadu among the youngsters. Geetha Narayan Shetty and Tara Vasantha Hegde, senior members of the Sangha, inaugurated the programme.

Aatidonji Dina is celebrated in the month of Aati or Ashada (in Kannada). The traditions are associated with Aati, which is observed from July 15 to August 15, emphasizing the close relationship between humans and nature. Old vessels and cooking equipment used in Tulu Nadu were displayed. Awareness was created on how to store grains and vegetables. Women also sang and danced on the occasion as part of the celebrations.

Over 180 women took part in the event where Tulu Nadu’s culture, tradition, and legacy were celebrated. Bunt community’s tasty traditional food items were also prepared on the occasion, which received appreciations from the people.
